Insulin, cannabis and self portraits…….

It is the second week of our pop up feature for journal articles that we think you may find interesting but missed when they were initially published.

Firstly a really useful overview of insulin therapies covering the commonly used regimens and safety considerations when prescribing Insulin therapies for the non specialist

In palliative care we are always looking for new advances in pain management. Patients are too and cannabis comes up often in our discussions with them. Here is a systematic review of their role in adult cancer related pain. Definitely worth a look.

Our third and final offering for this week is a fascinating commentary on a photography project and a self portrait contributed by a 26 year old patient with relapsing medulloblastoma. There is lots of talk about patient centered care but I wonder how often we really do deliver. Let us know your thoughts

My mind is still mine: a self-portrait in a photography project for adolescents and young adults with cancer |
