New guideline for Anticoagulation now available

We are delighted to publish the provisional Guideline for the Use of Anticoagulation in Palliative Care and Care in the Last Days and Hours of Life here on the Pallaborative North West website

Unfortunately the past 18 months has really affected the availability of colleagues across the country to help us with our external peer review process. We hope this will improve in the New Year but have decided that in the meantime we should publish the provisional guideline for people to access and use.

A really big thank you to all the members of the Guideline Development Group, led by Dr Grace Ting and Dr S McLintock, who worked so hard to produce this comprehensive piece of work. It is a tricky area which can be confusing with new evidence coming to light all the time. The group have done an amazing job in distilling this into a guideline we can all use on a daily basis.

Once the guideline has been externally peer reviewed we will add the NICE accreditation logo as it will then meet all the necessary criteria.

As soon as we have the final version ready we will post the news on this website. In the meantime we hope that you find this new guideline really useful in your clinical practice.
