Sinead Benson, one of the Clinical Nurse Specialists in the Palliative Care Team at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, has been short listed for a Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership 2020 Audit Hero award
HQUP is an independent organisation working in partnership with patients and healthcare professionals to promote quality in healthcare services by increasing the impact that clinical audit has on healthcare in England and Wales
The Audit hero awards are the highlight of the annual Clinical Audit Awareness week and a real opportunity to highlight some of the fantastic work taking place.
There are six different categories and Sinead has been shortlisted in the one for Clinical Practitioner of the Year.. This recognises Sinead’s trail blazing role as the first CNS in Cheshire and Merseyside to lead a Guideline Development Group. Many of you who joined our first virtual event in October will have been impressed by the wonderful work done in producing the new draft guideline on Continuous Subcutaneous Infusions
Pallaborative North West wants to say a collective congratulations to Sinead on her shortlisting and the rest of the GDG who did a brilliant piece of work whilst coping with the pandemic
We know that the winners will be announced next week (23rd-27th November) but whatever the outcome – we think it is already a brilliant achievement.
